Gorillaz Rhinestone Eyes - 2D's room Poster
New image for today! This one is special because it is the first to feature a background created by my partner in crime (and wife) Yaoyao. She is going to be helping me out on the video with animation and background design, check out her blog, and give her some of that Gorillaz fan love!

ReplyDelete2D has black or white eyes depending on the mood trying to be conveyed. In the plastic beach ident when murdock gases him and drags him to plastic beach he has white eyes. Also in the animatic they are white, so I am sticking to that. basically though i just think white eyes is when he is worried.

The boogie man summoning the real band is going to be 2D animated, but in a slightly different style. You'll just have to wait and see i'm afraid :)

Deletelol, well there you have it. I am going to use my artistic liberties to decide about his eye color as the animation progresses, this is after all my interpretation of the storyboards. If black eyes feel more correct I will go with that. Thanks for being so passionate about this stuff, I can tell you are really a hardcore fan :)
