Here it is! clip 2 of the Rhinestone Eyes fan video that I have been toiling over a hot Cintiq to bring you all!
The progress has been slower than I had hoped, but those of you following the blog know I am spread pretty thin as it is. But forgetting all that, here it is, let me know what you think in the comments below. Don't forget to follow the blog by clicking "Join" on the right of the page, like and subscribe on Youtube to let me know you want more, because on those days when I just don't think I can sit down and look at Gorillaz, it's the positive encouragement of the fans that motivates me to pick the pen back up and keep rocking!

This is looking better and better with each clip :D :D :D Absolutely love the camera angles when the island is being dive bombed here as well!
ReplyDeleteFrom an animation point of view, separately, which major sequences and / or objects have you yet to create? I ask because having dabbled in animation myself from time to time, I'm always conflicted as to whether to design all of the objects and sprites beforehand and then start animating, or create them on an ongoing basis as I progress through the animation and encounter the need for them. Which approach are you following here?
One small suggestion: this could just be my perception, but I feel Murdoc should be just a tiny bit greener ;) He looks almost "respectable" in his current colouring... And we can't have that :p
Someone else asked this and richard replied:
Deletewhen the final video comes out I will be color grading everything to smooth out those types of issues, also, youtube washes the hell out of the colors, which is why I'm gonna beef up the saturation in the final youtube render. Thanks for the feedback!
What Circular said :)
