Gorillaz Rhinestone Eyes - Something big is coming...

Hi friends! To show you all once again that I am not dead, I have a little snippet of finished Rhinestone Eyes footage to bestow upon you all (in crappy low res gif form). Don't get greedy or anything because who knows when the next second or two will be available.

  8. Is this still in development? I'm 19 just about to start studying animation and VFX at uni and i had the idea to try to recreate this video clip chronologically without re-using assets so i could track my own development of skills. Honestly I'm a bit disheartened (but not entirely surprised) that this already exists. The fact that you, as an accomplished animator, have been working on this for 3 years kind of makes me nervous about starting and i'd like to know if you think it's worth giving a go.
My interpretation is going to be more experimental technique-wise and is going to be kind of purposefully inconsistent if that makes sense. Would people still be on board with following the project if it's not entirely faithful to Jamie's art style?

    1. It is still in development yeah! I am trying to be as faithful to the gorillaz art style as possible because my mandate was to try and make something that fans could watch alongside all the other videos and feel like it fits into that world, but a video done with more experimental imagery would be super cool im sure. Just know its a ton of work lol. Good luck with it!
